Though uncommon, ectopia lentis can be corrected if needed with surgery.
In humans, there are a number of systemic conditions that are associated with ectopia lentis.
More common:
- Marfan syndrome (upward and outward)
- Homocystinuria (downward and inwards)
- Weill-Marchesani syndrome
- Sulfite oxidase deficiency
- Hyperlysinemia
Less common:
