Please always check with your PCP/MD physician before starting any weight loss program as the general recommendations are not for everyone, especially if you are diabetic, have heart disease, or any allergies.

1. Drink at least 8-9 glasses of water per day 
- 
2. Eat as much seeds, nuts (if no allergy) as you want within reason  
- 
3. Fish if no allergy is a great choice: especially wild fish (wild salmon, etc) and herring 
- 
4. Eat green leafy vegetables as much as you want every day (with balsamic vinegar & olive oil dressing; & toasted sesame seeds). 
- 
5. Eat as many veggies as you want. 
- 
6.  Chia seeds are a great way to get Omega 3 which helps and can be filling: see my meatball chia seed recipe. 
- 
7. Avoid carbohydrates as much as possible: if crave carbohydrates, go with carrots, peas & starchy veggies first; but avoid all refined carbohydrates.

8. If no allergies, eggs are a good protein to eat frequently–limiting egg yolks to less than 4 per week: follow cholesterol level 
- 
9. Seaweed may be a safe, fast snack–no proven higher level of radiation that I know of. 
- 
10. Lean meat and cheese is a better option than most carbohydrates. 
- 
11. Fatty meat like sausage, pork is a better option than most carbohydrates 
- 
12. If need carbs, choose quinoa and try to avoid all gluten.
