How IPL Works
There are many types of IPL machines. They basically work the same: they apply specific light to the surface of the skin. Certain wavelengths of light penetrate deeper tissues and cells, such as pigmented cells and Meibomian Gland cells, cause the cell membranes to open up and release its cellular content which rises to the surface if it is pigment or releases into its corresponding duct, if it is meibum: which is then expressed and removed so more meibum will be produced.
