It may work, but it will be hard to convince patients to use it. A patient asked me about Tetrodotoxin eye drops. This medication has been known about for many years as a poison. But a study below noted its use in rat eyes.  While no one has published its use yet in dry eye, it may be coming out as a research project soon. For now: Do not use this in your eyes!
