What is the difference between Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis and Vernal Keratoconjunctivitis (VKC): great question!

GPC usually due to contact lens overuse. Vernal (VKC): or Spring catarrh is a seasonal allergic disorder; both mediated by IgE and can look similar under microscope. Treatments for GPC: stop CL, try cold artificial tears. If does not help, we try steroid, and/or Restasis. Then try other CL material when quiet. Great references below:
