Taking oral Doxycycline can cause photosensitivity of the skin when in the sun. This means that even if you put sunblock on your skin, a patient taking Doxy can develop a severe sun burn of the skin. Taking Doxy during IPL sessions appears to be safe. I am waiting to see what dose of Doxy
